I relate to this so much! It's no coincidence that all the moments of awe you've listed are such simple things - I think sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking the overthinking will stop when we reach huge milestones in life (fall in love, get promoted, buy the house, etc), when really appreciating the simple, everyday moments presents an antidote to the inner madness X
exactly! It’s such a sneaky trap - waiting for the “big” moments to bring peace, when it’s actually the quiet, everyday awe that softens the noise. I’m learning that noticing the small things is the real milestone. So glad this resonated with you gal!
Love this post! I so related to the "psychic purgatory" of being trapped in my own mind. Gratitude, curiosity, and wonder are surefire ways to break me out. Such a great reminder!
I loved your post, Delaney! I also wrote on this topic about a month ago. Check it out! I hope more people realize that awe is all around us, if only they are willing to see. :)
I LOVE THIS ONE. “Overthinking makes us the center of the universe. Awe reminds us we’re part of it.“ That is SO huge and very well worded. You’ve made me think of so many things here that are so helpful. Beautiful writing cuz.
Honey losing her first tooth was my recent moment of awe!
Ah!!! That's a great and adorable one

Thank you girl! Me too - approaching things with wonder & curiosity rather than fear stress or grudge can really move mountains <3 🤍
